Duration: Temporary 3 - 6 month contract
Hours: 37.5 per week, 8am - 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Polytec are looking for temporary Production Technicians for our client based just north of Cambridge. The role involves the assembly, testing, fault-finding and repair of a range of electro-mechanical products, from cable and harness assemblies through to complete system builds.
Responsibilities:
* Assembly of electromechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
* Functional test and quality checks on assembled electromechanical devices to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards
* Completion of accurate production records and documentation
Requirements:
* SMT soldering and PCB repair skills
* Wiring, cable and harness assembly experience
* Ability to read and interpret schematics
* Understanding of electronic principles
* Fault-finding, troubleshooting and debugging experience
* Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
* Computer literacy
* Knowledge of PCB design software
* Exposure to mechanical CAD packages (e.g. SolidWorks or similar)
* Understanding of cleanroom assembly techniques
* Engineering or relevant technical qualification
* Knowledge of analogue and digital video processing would be advantageous
