Warehouse Operative

Location: Cambridge (CB23)

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £11 - £11.50 per hour

Polytec are looking for a Warehouse Operative for our client based just outside Cambridge. Ideally you will have experience of working within an electronics-based warehouse environment. You will need to have a good level of fitness as this role requires you to be on your feet all day.

Responsibilities:

* Pick components for line production, kitting and subcontract assembly and finished goods ready to ship
* To work in all areas of Warehouse and carry out tasks as required
* Goods Inwards tasks including receiving goods, checking stock in, moving on the computer system and physically putting away from both external and internal customers
* Ensure 100% data accuracy of incoming goods
* Ensure production kits are picked, processed and delivered on time, free from errors
* Maintain Kanban replenishment systems as required

Requirements:

* GCSE level education, numerate, computer literate with an understanding of MRP based systems
* Hard-working, enthusiastic towards the job in hand
* Computer literate
* Ability to work within a team or individually when necessary
* To be a proactive member of the warehouse team problem solving and improving current practises and processes
* Physically fit as manual handling is a routine part of the position
* Strong attention to detail
