Polytec are looking for a Technical Services Manager for our Saffron Walden based client. This is a hands-on, office-based role leading and developing a small team. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
* Manage Service and Technical Support personnel ensuring customers receive the best possible service
* Merging of Technical Support and Service teams to create one Technical Services team
* Develop, implement, track and report on KPI's
* Develop support to meet global requirements and targets
* Manage customer relationships to resolve critical situations
* Manage communication across departments to ensure that customer support actions are delivered and co-ordinated across the company
Requirements:
* Significant experience of working in a service or technical support environment, ideally related to chemistry equipment
* Significant people management experience, including performance evaluation, development and capability
* Solid commercial experience, with the ability to make decisions based on what's best for both customer and company
* Good technical background, ideally with electro-mechanical equipment
* Experience in developing, implementing and delivering customer support KPI's
* Experience in customer relationship management including issue resolution
* Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
* IT literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, instruction manuals etc for electro-mechanical equipment
