We are looking for a Technician to build and verify intricate micro-mechanical assemblies and assist in the development of new surgical instruments and delivery of performance improvements to existing products for a company based just outside Cambridge. This is a temporary role expected to last between 3 and 6 months.
Requirements
* Relevant NVQ / BTEC qualification with at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
* Good written English is essential
* Competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel. Word)
* Team worker who is enthusiastic, curious, energetic, and proactive
* Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly and test (preferably within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings of components and assemblies
* Experience in using mechanical and electronic measurement equipment
* Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience in developing relevant documentation such as work instructions and SOPs
* Rigorous attention to detail combined with a creative approach to problem-solving
* The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
* Good communication skills (written & verbal)
* A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks including, goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture
