User Centred Design Engineer

The client is seeking bright, ambitious user centred design engineer to help create, analyse and develop new medical technologies. The successful candidates will be expected to make a solid contribution to a group with core business in drug delivery devices, manufacturing systems, diagnostic instrumentation and surgical technology.

You will be expected to:

• Contribute to and lead teams that execute new or existing product usability plans and concepts
• Effectively integrate with a talented multi-disciplinary team of like-minded people

You will have:

• A 1st or 2.1 degree in engineering followed by a postgraduate qualification in industrial design (with an emphasis on usability), human factors, user centred design or similar
• In depth knowledge of human factors and user centred design
• Experience of conducting user research
• A track record of medical product development
• A background in some of the following - psychology, ethnography, inclusive design or ergonomics
• An understanding of or experience in FDA/MDD legislation on human factors would be beneficial
