» Supply Chain Manager

Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. This role involves the management of materials movement/supply chain processes and the resources of the Materials Group and the planning, purchasing, scheduling, and tracking of materials from the vendor through to the customer.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Administration and management of the materials group.
* Budget planning, annual appraisals, goal setting and performance management.
* Monitoring work orders based on forecasts and demand requirements.
* Monitoring WIP to maintain required work schedule.
* Ensuring all movements of materials around the work centres.
* Formulation of the schedule for short term / long term production planning. * Monitoring all customer orders locally, adding sales / work orders and communicating with other manufacturing sites.
* Ensuring purchase and schedule deliveries of quality raw materials.
* Developing and maintaining a vendor base.
* The placement and facilitation of the administration of purchase orders.
* Maintaining system reconciliation of inventory numbers via cycle counting and transaction log reviews.
* Maintaining data accuracy for JDE system by continuously reviewing MRP and other parameters.
* Responsibility for supporting and complying with safety and waste management programme.

Education and experience:

* Degree or equivalent in business / purchasing / science subject.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in Production Planning.
* Understanding and use of computerised transactions.
* Experience of JDEdwards is preferred.
