» Sourcing/ Supplier Quality Lead

The role will be working in the operations department & the client is seeking applicants with experience of delivering maximum product availability, while maintaining cost effectiveness in the supply chain. You will negotiate contracts, review supplier agreements, source new partners & ensure best value. You will be responsible for supplier quality management by developing a vendor rating system, making improvements to poor performing suppliers & the new supplier/ new product approval process.

You will have a strong Quality/Sourcing Engineering background with over 7 years experience (in sourcing & within a technical industry), good communication skills, SAP/MRP etc.

Qualifications & Functional Experience required:
HND or equivalent in technical discipline.
A minimum of 5 years demonstrable functional sourcing experience with extensive supplier quality in a technical, medium/high production environment.
Desirable skills & experience: BSc/ BEng level qualification, Professional qualification such as CIPS etc. Experience of integrated systems (mechanical, electrical, electronic).
Food Industry Experience.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience required:
Track record of driving change management initiatives and driving quality culture creation. Proven Self Starter able to counter resistance and deliver. Able to work independently, with own team and as a member of business management team.
IT literate with experience of standard MS Office tools.

Desirable: Experience with inspection systems (X-Ray a bonus)
ISO9002/ISO9001 accreditation delivery.
HACCP/GMP/Pharma Industry accreditation experience.
