» Solutions Consultant - German speaking

With a proven track record in designing and implementing multi-tier enterprise systems this is an exciting opportunity for a fluent German speaker to join a growing and dynamic team and take your career to the next level and into a direct customer facing environment.
Creating unique solutions for individual customers, engagements range in size from small product extensions to larger projects delivering large-scale enterprise solutions involving system integration. Consequently the role encompasses involvement in the full cycle of engagements and your daily work will be a combination of participation in initial customer meetings, solutions design and software development and technical leadership. Continuously extending your knowledge you are always in a position to recommend the perfect blend of technologies to best solve a customer’s problem.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Knowledge of a wide range of technologies, programming languages and frameworks commonly used to build enterprise systems. For example:
• Enterprise system design (multi-tier architecture, integration strategies, server redundancy, fail-over or grid technologies)
• Platforms (J2EE, .NET)
• Web services and associated standards/ specifications, such as e.g. SOAP, WSDL, XML, etc.
• Application and workflow servers
• Data Modelling
• Web application development
• Databases (e.g. Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server)
• Solid Java or OO programming skills required.
• JavaScript, SQL, R
• UNIX/Linux/Windows
• Experience of working in a relevant environment, e.g. IT consulting, materials sciences, pharma research, text mining, cheminformatics, computational chemistry.
• Project management skills to manage small projects.
• Fluency in German and English is essential
Given our clients scientific background an understanding of domains and processes and methods in sciences, such as in life sciences and material sciences would be an advantage though is not essential.
