» Senior Test Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the team. Your role will involve testing embedded software and tools across our client’s product range as well as implementing new automated functional test and improving upon the current tool set. You will provide test metrics, manage testing frameworks and regression suites and promote continuous improvements in system level automated testing of our client’s products.

You will be required to investigate and report on issues found during automated testing as well as increasing automated test coverage by converting existing manual tests to automation.

You will be passionate about test and the uncovering of defects as early in the development process as possible
Strong analysis, numerical, written and verbal communication skills
Wide knowledge of available test automation tools
Ability to demonstrate previous experience of automating existing manual tests and defining new tests from requirements
Tenacity and an ability to probe issues and understand the root causes
Ability to work to a high level of quality and detail
Confidence and ability to recognise short-falls in process and suggest improvements
Innovative with respect to new automated testing initiatives
Flexible approach to working in a transient, project-based environment
Can do attitude, robust and able to cope with a broad based and demanding brief
Organised and structured way of working
Able to deal with other engineers and managers of all levels
