» Scientist/Senior Scientist.

Our clients are seeking a scientist to contribute to their R&D activities on a fixed term contract of 6 months, with the potential of going permanent on completion. This will include the development of chemical sensors, the design, fabrication, and evaluation of chemical sensor prototypes, planning & executing test programmes and liaison with external test facilities and academic institutions. You will also identify suitable concepts for future product generations, manage product development activities & specifications & collaborate with other team members on internal and external development projects. You must have a good academic track-record in the design & development of chemical sensing or biosensing, Ph.D or similar in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Biology, experience in use of electrochemical devices & in handling biological receptors, including enzymes or antibodies. Experience in material selection and use of biocompatible and haemo-compatible materials, working with ISO & the use of micromachined devices would be highly desirable.
