This will specifically involve reducing the number of duplications, errors and inconsistencies in the current system, as well as classifying targets according to types/ subtypes. 		<description>This role will be working within a team to improve the performance of Red, Green, Blue and White (RGBW) materials by designing and preparing new conjugated monomers and polymers to a high quality used for LEP products. You should understand device chemistry and physics as they relate to light emitting polymer (LEP) based displays. You should have gained a PhD or equivalent research experience in Organic Chemistry or related discipline, and have approximately 2-5 years work experience gained through research in synthetic organic chemistry obtained in an academic environment or in industry.  An ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive data, and an understanding of the value of IP in relation to the filing of inventions is essential. You should also have strong planning/organisation skills with good attention to detail. Computer literacy is essential and any familiarity with Windows 2003 and Microsoft Office products and chemical drawing packages will be advantageous.</description>

The role is to provide effective material characterisation (small molecules and polymers) through strong theoretical and practical contributions to support their 2008 RandD targets. Provide effective line management to direct line reports and ensure a safe working environment aligned with the company's HandS policies.KEY RESULT AREAS1.	Provide full analytical characterisation of key intermediates and monomers   	to internal QC STD.2.	Effective characterisation of polymers to support device processing and   	understanding.3.	Co-ordinate the weekly MS schedule for analysis.4.	Maintain the master document of polymer formulations/processes and 	analysis.5.	Co-ordinate basic preventative maintenance on STD equipment.6. Production of sensor chips to fulfil the requirements of Research, Development and Operations. It is likely that the main activity will be the production of product for commercial sale. You will perform all specified activities to meet the commitments of the warehouse and despatch operation, in accordance with cGMP standards and be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality, safety and cleanliness in all working areas. You will be responsible for the cleaning of the machinery in the Warehouse and be aware of all Health and Safety standards in all working areas. Working closely with the QA department you will review/update relevant Standard Operating Procedures as and when required and be responsible for prompt and accurate data entry into the Database. This description may be varied from time to time to reflect changing business requirements. Working Hours: A 36 hours per week, shift, alternating on the following shift patterns: Shift 1. Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:30 hrs Friday: 09:00 - 16:30 hrs Shift 2. Monday - Thursday 11:30 - 20:00 hrs Friday: 10:00 - 18:00 hrs.  Experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage. Previous Distribution/Warehouse experience is preferred as is a forklift truck licence (counter balance, Narrow aisle, ride on pallet trucks and pump trucks) </description>
