		<title>QA Technician</title>
		<description>Job descriptionQuality Assurance Technician AimsTo ensure all products supplied from our clients operations conform to legal, quality and safety requirements to protect employees, customers and brand name.Reporting to Site Quality Systems SupervisorThere will be a wide range of roles and responsibilities required to successfully complete this job function including;Duties•	Product inspection and sampling – Raw materials and finished product.•	Conduct laboratory analysis and verification of incoming raw materials and finished product.•	Liaise and communicate with production supervisors and operators on all items relating to product quality•	Co-ordinate daily QA checks on site.•	Highlight and action weights and measures non conformances and corrective actions and report to site Quality Supervisor.•	Carry-out daily, weekly and Monthly QA checks in accordance with requirements of the QMS and EMS.•	Compile weekly quality reports for management team.•	Identify non conformances, recommend corrective actions and follow up on implementation of corrective actions.•	Compliance to all QA paperwork and rigidly adhere to detailed record keeping in accordance with Document Control procedures.•	Assist in maintenance of QMS and EMS as requested by the quality supervisor.•	Set up, compile and maintain computer based records of data and report to Quality supervisor on an ongoing basis.•	Write reports of quality incidents and issues with suppliers, products and all non conformances to quality.•	Corrective action and follow up of Customer complaints when required.•	Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.•	Complete receiving inspection and assist in development of raw material product procurement specification development.•	Calibration of weights and measures and additional analytical metrology tools.•	Monitor production data and statistical process control.•	This list of duties gives an outline to the requirements of this position but at any time other reasonable duties may be required.Person SpecificationEssential•	A degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or non graduates with suitable experience. •	Previous experience working in an analytical laboratory, using HPLC and spectrophotometry techniques.•	Must be an excellent communicator both verbally and written•	Must meet acceptable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data compilation, record keeping, document writing and reporting. •	Must be prepared to undertake training as required as part of career development.•	Must have previous experience in a quality function.•	A conscientious attitude with specific attention to detail is required.•	Must be prepared to work shift pattern as required.•	Must have the ability to work to tight deadlines.Desired•	Previous experience in method development/validation. •	Experience with Statistical process control•	Experience in calibration and metrology.•	Full clean license and access to own transportation.•	Auditing experience or certification but training will be provided.</description>

There is a 20% shift premium on top of the basic salary.</description>

Responsibilities include:-	Day to day running of the Chemical Mixing plant.-	To follow the correct work instruction required for each mix.-	Following SOPs to maintain the highest standards of GMP, Health and 	Safety and COSHH at all time. -	To liaise with production planning to agree the daily mixing plan-	Complete detailed documentation-	Report any irregularities to the Technical Department-	Control of chemical stocks-	Working closely with the Technical, QA and Production department to 	ensure that products are manufactured to specification in a safe 	and cost effective manner-	Operate forklifts trucks. -	To be involved in a variety of activities across the Technical and 	QA departments.
