» Sales and Marketing Manager

This is a career opportunity in a rapidly expanding business for a sales and marketing professional with experience in the photonics industry. The position reports directly to the general manager.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage sales and marketing of all products to the UK and Ireland
- Develop relationships with existing customers and maximise revenue potential
- Identify and approach potential customers and convert enquiries from prospects into sales
- Formulate and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for UK manufactured products world-wide
- Collaborate with customers and provide market insight into new product development and strategy
- Responsible for managing the sales and technical support team
- Coordinate trade show representation and set ups
- Provide timely and reliable management information

Required
- A higher education qualification in physics or an engineering discipline
- Sales and marketing experience within the photonics industry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with internal and external customers
- Computer literacy

Desirable
- Business qualification or higher degree
- Understanding of academic customer base and applications in photonics
