Our client is seeking a production technical author, who's key responsibilities will include:
· Creating and maintaining technical documentation for all production disciplines, but primarily mechanical and electrical, under minimal supervision
· Presenting the information in a simple, clear and appropriate way using Dream weaver and Photoshop
· Organising the content and functionality of a technical document intranet site
· Aiding the sub assembly department in researching, identifying and collating information required by the department, and performing other administrative duties where required
· Identifying and prioritising procedures for new products
· Pitching in with sub assembly and machine build work where required
This post would suit a flexible team player seeking a varied career opportunity. The ideal candidate will have several years' hands-on electro-mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, and experience of using Adobe Dream weaver, Adobe Photoshop and the Microsoft Office suite. Good attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to learn new software skills.
