» Mechanical Engineer

Working in a highly creative, technical environment, you will have a leading role in contributing to solutions on a wide variety of challenging projects, from the initial concept and analytical stages through to prototype delivery and manufacturing introduction.

To be successful, you will have strong creativity with a good understanding of engineering principles. You will be able to lead or contribute to multi-disciplinary teams working in a wide range of technical disciplines, and be able to deliver demanding projects to high quality, on time and on budget. You must be self-motivated, comfortable with presenting your work and ideas to clients and very adaptable.


You will ideally have:
- 1st or 2:1 from a leading university in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong creativity coupled with an analytical and enquiring mind
- Excellent communication skills
- Some experience in one of our principal industry sectors, gained either in industry or in a consultancy


The role:
To take a leading role in mechanical engineering. You should be comfortable with many of the areas described below.

Duties:
- Lead and or contribute to those aspects of projects which cover the analytical, creative and development aspects of mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, control engineering, structures and design for manufacture
- Manage the activities of associates and sub-contractors
- Manage projects
- Assist with sales activities in growing our business i.e. by contributing to and writing proposals or thought pieces for prospects and attending sales meetings
