» Machine Operator

Our clients are looking for a machine operator, initially on a temporary basis, with the possibility of going permanent. The job will entail ensuring the machines are running to full capacity, filling in appropriate paper work and keeping the general area tidy. For this role, you must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, be confident at using vernier callipers and gauging to check own work. Previous experience of using either a press tool, general machine operation, setting machines/press tools or using a surface grinding machine is essential. Above all, you must be practical, reliable and you must have a strong hands-on ability. In time, you will take on the supervision of more junior machine operators. You will work a 4 day week, 7am-5.30pm, with half an hour lunch & breaks.
