» Graduate Engineer or Mathematician
Our client is looking for a Graduate Engineer or Mathematician, to work on client assignments and provide key ideas for projects involving algorithm development and digital signal processing for radar and radio location systems and sensors.
Specific responsibilities
As a project team member you would be responsible for carrying out your specific project tasks within the time-scales and budgets agreed with your project managers. There are many aspects to the work in addition to design. As your experience develops, you might wish to take on further responsibilities.
You will work on the design of digital signal processing algorithms for imaging, detection and sensing systems, and their implementation in hardware and/or embedded software.
Minimum requirements
To meet the requirements of this role you will have:
· Good first degree or PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics or related discipline.
· Strong mathematical skills and interest in applying mathematics to solve problems.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Good software engineering skills.
In addition, any experience of the following will also be beneficial:
· Knowledge and experience of the application of Bayesian Inference in processing systems.
· Experience of using C and MATLAB.
· Experience in algorithm design, ideally in a DSP environment.
· Experience in implementation in hardware or software, ideally in DSP systems.
In addition, applicants should be both willing and able to work on UK defence projects.
