		<title>Programme Manager, Radar Systems</title>
		<description>Main purpose of the jobOur client is seeking a Programme manager with a background in sensor development in the defence and security industry.  The role involves managing challenging and often complex product and system developments for clients in a range of market sectors, with a focus on the defence and security market.  Specific experience in radar systems, including development, deployment and operation in the field, will be an advantage to the applicant.  Specific responsibilities* Managing projects in the field of defence and security, typically consisting of multidisciplinary teams (including hardware, software, digital signal processing, mechanics and production engineering).* The position involves the management of projects through the complete development lifecycle, from requirements definition through to final delivery.  * You will be involved in proposal preparation, selection of the team, negotiations with 3rd parties, managing concept generation, analysis of the system architecture, liaison across engineering disciplines and the specification, implementation and testing of the design.* You will manage projects typically in the region £100,000 to £3,000,000 that require delivery within tight timescales and budgets, managing both internal and external resources.* You will also make a significant contribution to our business development activities through supporting our campaign managers. Surveys will need to be analysed in a logical and consistent manner. Results will be presented and circulated using PowerPoint. The Analyst will be responsible for managing data after results are circulated so that multiple survey results can be aggregated for future analysis. The analyst will also support other groups within the company by providing basic market size and share analysis. The Analyst will advise the Survey Team on the data construction and logical design of surveys to ensure that data gathered is consistent between surveys. This role will suit individuals who have excellent analytical skills with a keen sense for business and want to build a career in a commercial science-based company. Ideal candidates will have a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a maths, engineering or econometrics related subject which included statistics. A biological background would be advantageous but not essential. You must possess an excellent understanding and use of both written and verbal English and have the ability to effectively communicate and be comfortable working in teams.
