» Electrical Maintenance Engineer

This position is for a multi skilled electrical engineer, conversant with electrical engineering practices to at least I.E.E. 16th Edition including the safe operation and maintenance of PLC's and Invertor drives. Experienced in maintaining machinery as both pro active and reactive maintenance, the PPM system is computer driven by monthly tasks to which are added the reactive maintenance requests. The applicant is expected to be a time served apprentice in an industrial background, with experience of 3 phase motor and control systems.

The equipment is state of the art and is progressing towards the most advanced installed in East Anglia. A knowledge of pneumatics must accompany the required experience, there are steam and water systems within the plant but it is not expected other than to test and inspect controls that experience is essential.

There will be a requirement to travel abroad for training and possibly to another Company site for holiday cover. The Company out sources it's major overhaul requirements, and has regular maintenance contracts for its major plant.

Security and Fire protection equipment is also maintained by Contract suppliers.

It is expected that the applicant has a full driving licence.

Responsibilities
The Company prides itself on its level of training and safety, and it is expected that a safe working environment will be maintained.

As a maintenance team member you will be expected to work initially a day shift but as the Company expansion moves forward with the recruitment of others there may be a necessity to work a rotational split shift & to work on a Saturday if necessary.

Daily control will be through the Factory Manager with technical guidance from the General Manager.
