» Commercial Manager- Consumer Products
Our client is looking for a Commercial Manager, to contribute significantly to the growth of their business in design and development of consumer products.
Specific responsibilities:
· To create focussed marketing and sales campaigns.
· Identify target companies and match them with appropriate technical offerings.
· Initiate contact, make pre-sales visits and identify prospective business.
· Build sales propositions and develop them into commercial relationships.
· Lead the bid teams - working alongside a project manager and/or technical authority.
· Mentor the senior technical members of the team across the company.
· Close sales - negotiating terms and conditions.
· Be part of the project delivery team.
Experience/Background required:
· Experience and track record within a potential target industry - consumer electronics, domestic appliances, FMCG, or energy systems.
· Experience EITHER in Product Management for consumer products OR in key client management within a fee-for-service product development business.
· Strong market knowledge of existing technologies.
· Project management experience of taking consumer products from initial design to production is highly desirable.
· Excellent degree in an appropriate science, engineering or design subject, and product or function development experience.
