» Chip Technology Transfer Lab Technician
Our client requires a Laboratory Technician for initially for 6 months, to assist in the technology transfer from Research & Development into Operations.
You will assist in the routine testing of the company's sensor chips in order to support sensor development and manufacturing activities; this will predominantly involve treatment and etching of chip prototypes, mounting of chips and wire bonding and electrical and chemical testing of silicon sensor chips.
Assist in the planning and implementation of device and concept testing, utilising the most appropriate and effective methods.
Assist in the analysis of test results and in the clear/concise presentation of data. You will also participate in research and operations team meetings.
Skills:
Keen attention to detail and proven ability to perform experiments in an accurate manner; Familiarity with working in a high-volume manufacturing environment; Familiarity with semiconductor technology and good understanding of material science is highly desirable; Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving; Experience in planning and developing experiments;
Safe handling of chemicals used in the processing of semiconductor materials;
Ability to develop and follow procedures in a repeatable manner and to a high standard; Experience in the use of fundamental principles of sound design, experimental methodology and analysis of experimental results;
Computer literate with Windows operating system & Microsoft Office experience;
Report writing & Familiarity with scientific instrumentation.
You should be selfmotivated & confident, be well organised, & able to work to tight deadlines without close supervision and without loss of attention to detail or accuracy.
Education:
Science based degree or good grade Science 'A' levels.
Experience:
A minimum of two years experience in a similar quality control, manufacturing or laboratory role is highly desirable;
Experience of working with quality systems e.g. ISO is highly desirable;
Working in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice and Health and Safety procedures is essential.
This role may be turned in to a permanent post, subject to funding in the future.
