Facilities Technician

Location: Ely (CB6)

Hours: 8am until 4:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Polytec are looking for a Facilities Technician for our client based in Ely.

Responsibilities:

* Building maintenance and repairs including basic electrical work, basic plumbing, internal painting, general repairs and gutter/drain/window cleaning
* Appropriate disposal of waste materials and monitoring waste review area
* Maintenance of all outdoor areas
* Assist with general internal building cleaning
* Stock control and Kanban of materials and products
* Maintain accurate records
* Contractor management including PTW Site induction and reviewing risk assessments
* Be aware of Health, Safety & Environmental policies ensuring compliance

Requirements:

* Knowledge of electrical safety
* Basic knowledge of plumbing
* Experience in contractor management including PTW and reviewing risk assessments
* Good DIY / garden maintenance skills
* Enthusiasm for and experience with landscaping / grounds maintenance
* Ability to multitask, time manage and work independently
* Basic electrical skills City & Guilds or equivalent BTEC would be beneficial
* PAT Certificate useful
* Certificates for use and storage of spray pesticides (weed control) useful
* Forklift (FLT) and full driving licence preferred
