Contract Test Technicians & Engineers
Our client based in Cambridge is seeking experienced test technicians & engineers to carry out testing of electronic assemblies /sub-assemblies.
The main functions of the role are:
To operate automatic and manual test equipment in order to test PCBs and assemblies to given specifications.
To diagnose and locate faults to component level and if possible, rectify or identify the fault such that an effective repair can be implemented by others.
To work efficiently and effectively ensuring quality levels are maintained at all times.
Provide and record appropriate information for test process monitors.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, standards and Health and Safety regulations.
Liaise with Test Engineers, Technical Support and Production Control to ensure problems and opportunities are addressed quickly to maintain an environment working for continual improvement.
A flexible approach is essential, as all personnel may be required to work and train in areas outside their nominated area.
On occasions you may be requested to work outside normal working hours. At these times usual overtime rates will apply.
Person Specification/Requirements
PC literate
Ability to read/understand CCT diagrams
Understand relevant processes
Understand and complete relevant paperwork
Awareness of Health and Safety issues relating to an electrical test environment
Experience and Qualifications
In-house training for specific product testing
Complete and pass IPC-A-610 certification
A formal qualification in electrical/electronics related disciplines is desirable
